As if it was not bad enough being Over Comped, I’m Over Booked now as well. Alas, no fear, folks, because when the J-Man gets overbooked and poker is one of the options, poker usually wins out. Tonight alone, I had my parents coming in to drop off their cat, dinner plans with them, plans to cook a steak that is going bad if not cooked tonight, and tentative dinner plans with pals. That doesn’t even include the plan to storm a 45-person SNG tonight or the Mookie. But after some delicate manuevering, all that’s left is the cat, steak and poker. Not too shabby.
If you’ve been following along, several weeks ago, I suggested that we all storm a 45-person Super Turbo SNG on Full Tilt. After that post, I swear you could hear crickets chirp. I figured the idea was dead in the water, but it turns out much of the action was taking place elsewhere, like at JamyHawk’s blog and BuddyDank’s site. When the game time actually approached, Jamy realized that he had double-booked, but since he was the real inspiration for this idea, we decided to postpone everything until tonight, April 7, a little after 10:15pm.
Here is the basic rundown. Many bloggers will already be playing online poker tonight at the 10pm Mookie, a private tournament amongst bloggers and their readers. The poker site is Full Tilt. The buy-in for that event is $11, as per usual, with password: vegas1. The game is simple ole texas holdem. Hopefully, I’ll see you there.
At 10:15pm EST, based on the FullTilt clock on their main page, those interested in the 45 Storm will open the SNG lobby and find the 45-player super-turbo sit-n-go closest to $3 (I believe it is $3.50+.30) in the Sit-N-Go lobby. Super Turbos can easily be found by looking for the yellow “T” icon. Once you’ve found the right place, DO NOT ENTER THE SNG. Rather, wait until the current SNG is completely full and a new one opens up. Then ENTER THE NEWLY OPENED SNG. This will help us avoid a situation where at 10:15pm exactly, there are already 42 out of 45 players in the SNG. Once a new list has begun, jump in.
There will likely be prop bets, although I have yet to see any made concrete as of right now. I see some participants listed at Jamy’s site, including me, Jamy, OhCaptain, CEMfromMD and WillWonka for a $10 last longer, and as of now, I assume that is still on. If you care to join the action, leave a comment here, email me, or leave a comment for Jamy. Hopefully, Jamy and I can work out a final list and post it at 10pm tonight.
That’s all for today. I’ll try to keep my Yahoo Instant Messenger open later (name highonpokr, with no E).
Until next time, make mine poker!

I’m going to try to hook up, but why not schedule a tournament instead of going with an sng? It’s easy to set up a scheduled tourney. I’m also playing the Very Josie Poker Tournament (http://veryjosie.blogspot.com/2010/04/tonight-tonight-wont-be-just-any-night.html).

hey – not sure if I can make it (haven’t been to bed yet due to work, so playing on 40hrs no sleep might not be a good plan)… but if I do show up, throw me into the $10 last longer.

Meister, its because I’m low rent and proud of it. The truth is, I don’t want to set up a private tournament. There’s the Mookie and Josie for that. I’m just looking to futz around a bit in a ridonkulous 45p Super Turbo.
