Obviously, we here at High on Poker care little about public accolades. In fact, we didn’t even show up for our Humanitarian Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2007 Source Awards show, mostly because we were simultaneously booked for the All American Oyster Shucking Showdown at the Tillamook County Fair. (Go Nestucca High School Bobcats!)
And naturally, we here at High on Poker (we being me and my intern Mohan, who has been ghost writing this blog since Sanji quit in March 2006; thanks Mohan!) don’t trust most “online” contests, since they are likely little more than an attempt to drum up the contest-holder’s own traffic by giving out some silly award.
But sometimes, something magical happens and we at H.o.P. (yeah, you know me!) takes a chance, a chance to make a difference, a chance for change, a chance…for a meaningless award.
That time is now.
So, if you are interested, check out the Golden Chip Awards and vote for yours truly under Best Private Poker Blog. There are a couple of other well known bloggerati in there too, so even if you hate us here at H.o.P., you can give the love to one of the other amazing Private Poker Blogs, as I guess we are now called.
Until next time, make mine poker!
