Been to Biloxi good action same as New Orleans…both have circuit events..I’d be down for checking out St. Louis

that being said, caesers outside of louisville has a hopping action-packed room. there are three hoosier boats right outside of my stomping grounds here in cincy but i can’t really recommend em.

Tunica is one shitty little dump of a town but there’s plenty of poker to be played there, esp if you can time it during a circuit event.

Just thought I’d give a shout out for us way out on the west coast. Oregon has some good casinos with poker rooms around the Portland area. If you are looking for a vacation as well as poker, I’d suggest Lincoln City, which is on the Oregon coast. The small town is great, the beach is fun, and the casino has poker!

I went to college in St. Louis (now in law school in philly), and can testify to the high quality poker rooms there. Harrah’s St. Louis and Ameristar, both about 10-15 mins from downtown St. Louis, always have 1-2NL, and Harrahs sometimes has a 2-5NL game as well. Ameristar is fun for a change of scenery, and spread Limit O8 and once a week they have an uncapped-buyin PLO game. I never figured out what the blinds were because I was too busy trying to figure what the orange chips were worth

There are also a few riverboats closer to downtown StL, one of them (I forget its name, but it’s right across from the Arch) has decent games but a really trashy feel.

One last beneift to St. Louis, as opposed to MS or IN, is that you can actually find other cool stuff to do. The Loop has some cool restaurants and bars (think South Street Philly, if you’ve ever been there), the Central West End can be fun, and you can always ride to the top of the Arch and do all that other happy horseshit.

Now that my StL tourism bureau pitch is finished, I wish you well in your hunt for the less-traveled card rooms.

PS – I took a cross-country road trip this summer and played in a ton of other rooms (in MO, IN, NV, AZ, and OK), so if you want any extra info I guess you can try to find some way to let me know.

My wife grew up on a farm ~20 minutes from Tama, and so my trips out there are not so painful, as I usually get in 2 or so sessions, giving me a break from the farm.

People are nice, and the evening usually brings a few nits, a few LAG’s and some donks driving trucks through the area. Dealers are good, but there is no drinking in the casino, as it is on a dry indian reservation…
